Elite Chiropractic Gives Back

We love this community and its ability to come together in good times and bad.  Many patients and community members have reached out to purchase HydroMassage Session.  This is a great way to support Elite Chiropractic as a small business, give back to the community we love and treat yourself as well!  We know the stress of the current COVID-19 situation can cause tension on the body.

During the month of April, Elite Chiropractic is donating 50% of all HydroMassage profits to the Baldwin City Emergency Fund.  These are hands free massages that can be purchased now and used later or even given as a gift!

1 (15 minute) session is $20 or you can buy 6 (15 minute) sessions for $100.  Together, we can make a positive impact during this trying time!

Call 785-594-1191 to purchase and/or schedule.  As mentioned before, they can also be used at a later date!

We will continue to stay open and serve patients during this time.  Chiropractic care is deemed essential and is important for us to stay open to help the medical community treat musculoskeletal complaints.  Give us a call with any questions.

DOT / School Physicals

July already, how is that possible?!  We’ve been so busy at the office treating patients, expanding our services and preparing for baby James #2 due in August!  While it is all so exciting, time has flown by and we wanted to catch you up on the exciting additions to Elite Chiropractic.

We are pleased to announce we now offer DOT Physicals for drivers and School Physicals!  Both physicals are quick, easy and very affordable.  There have been many request from the community and patients to offer these services and we are grateful Elite Chiropractic can answer that demand!  We continue to maintain our Patient First mindset that sets us apart in the community.

We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable rest of the summer.  Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.

Pain, Pain, Go AWAY! Headache addition

What type of headache do you typically have?

The word ‘headaches’ can vary depending on the location and severity.  In general, most patients tend to have a similar, reoccurring type. Luckily, there is a treatment for these headaches that doesn’t involve taking aspirin every 4-6 hours.

One of the most common types of headaches we treat in the office is cervicogenic headaches.   This particular type of headache starts at the base of your skull and migrates over the top of your head.  Cervicogenic headaches are caused by a mechanical issue within the body, such as tight neck muscles or restricted motion in the spine.

The best way to treat a mechanical issue is with a mechanical solution.  Our office prides itself on getting the best results by combining neck adjustments with soft tissue therapy.  This provides more range of motion in the neck and allows the tight muscles to relax, which takes some pressure off the base of the skull.

Red Flag Headache Symptoms:

  • Sudden, unfamiliar headache

  • “The worse headache I have ever had”

  • Dizziness

  • Difficulty walking

  • Difficulty speaking

If you are experiencing these symptoms seek medical attention (Primary Care Dr. / Emergency Room)

Workspace Ergonomics Card

Our office put together a pretty neat handout to give you some tips around your workstation. Check it out. Print it out. Hang it up and share with others. Our goal is to help prevent you from back and neck pain!
